Azure Article: Cloud doubts? Just trust it
Every business has software in it.
From small to big enterprises, software plays a major role in making everything work. Now with the cloud, everyone’s software experience got a big upgrade. Security as one of its main benefits.
But just how secure is the cloud?
When we talk about the cloud, there’s always a relationship involved between the enterprise and the cloud service provider. Trust is the foundation of every relationship. A company has to trust its cloud service provider and the cloud service provider should take that trust into account when making their systems secure.
This trust is the foundation of every cloud function. Enadoc, for example, uses cloud storage on a day-to-day basis. From backing up files through scanning to giving remote access to the users, the cloud is an integral part of an innovative document management system like Enadoc.
Take Azure for example, according to James Staten’s article “Why enterprises trust Azure with their apps and data”, earning the trust of Microsoft’s consumers has been a multi-decade investment. Trust is not something they started with going into cloud, rather, it’s something that was built through years of great service.
But how did they build it?
According to the article, “of the $12 billion Microsoft spent on research and development last year, 1$ billion was focused on cybersecurity efforts.” Microsoft also has its own Digital Crime Unit that works with lawyers and law enforcers around the world to catch people committing cybercrime.
Up to this day, Microsoft is pushing their efforts toward continuously developing state-of-the-art digital security. They also have security measures for advanced technology like post-quantum cryptography to help ensure they can maintain security even in the future.
The point of it all? Microsoft has its consumer’s back. That is how you establish trust and prove how secure your cloud solution is. Trust is the very foundation of a cloud-first, mobile-first industry because the cloud is all about establishing a relationship.
